Music: Keith Urban - Days Go By
Hahahahaha. So we had our music test in K-8 Methods. She's never done it in quite this format before, the class, so she's trying a lot of new things. Including tests. Last semester, they had a set of three tests that were spaced over a few weeks each. This semester, we're having our first ever test, and it's past Midterms by a couple weeks already.
So, anyway, we're truckin' along through the test, which is a compilation of those three tests she had last semester, and a girl says, "Are we supposed to finish this all today?" The teacher kinda looks at her like she's crazy, and the girl says, "We only have five minutes left of class." Turns out that most people still had 2 or 3 pages to go, and they weren't even close to being finished.
Well, most of us had skipped around the test, too, so we saw all the questions that she was going to ask. So she didn't know what to do. So we just ended up turning in the test, even though no one was finished with it. She's going to grade that part, then we'll take the rest of the test on Thursday, and she'll somehow grade that part differently, since now we know what to look for and to study.
I found it amusing. She also had an email in my inbox by the time I'd gotten back to my apartment saying not to worry about it until Thursday, and that we'll get something figured out lol.
Oh, and thanks for all the comments on my fake post below! I didn't think it would get that many responses!
God freaking damnit! I hate calling Dell to talk about my computer. I always get somebody from India who I cannot understand, and when I have to give them my service tag number or my express service code, I have to say "The letters T as in "table", K as in "kangaroo", blah blah blah" and then they have to repeat it back to me, and it's always wrong! Grrr. I hope I get somebody who speaks English this time, because I'm getting sick of this. And I'm on my cell phone. Yeah, my battery doesn't last forever, y'know.
That Dell commercial with the guy calling them in the middle of the night to talk to a hot college boy who speaks perfect English? Totally not right. Because you're going to get someone who DOESN'T speak English...Bah. It's like they're a sponge and they just soak up what you say and say, "Oh yes, I understand why this is upsetting," but they can't do anything to fix it. Bah.

man i hear ya on the tech support stuff. those numbers are ridiculously long and its hard to communicate letters over the phone cause they all sounds the same.
and the fact that all the support calls are getting routed to india is horrid. it leaves no jobs for us americans and makes us try to get help from a person that needs to learn how to speak english.
what a stupid system!!
I know this may sound rude, but if that happens ask to speak to someone else. I have done it a couple of times. I kind of dislike doing it, but it is better than the frustration. You can approach it in a nice and calm way and they should just do it. If that does not work ask to speak to a supervisor. If all else fails, go by a Mac. I did and I have yet to call customer service. They start at under a grand and they are wonderful. This concludes my shameless plug for all things Apple. Thank you.
Oh, great photo blog. Love those waterfalls! Also, song for the day for me..."Havin' a Bad Day" by Blue Flannel. Trust me, you probably will never find a copy of it...but it is stupid and fun.
oxm what is the full phon-whatever alphabet. i know the obvious ones but have often been stumped as to what other letters would be. hmm i suppose i could do a search on the internet instead of filling up the comments on said blog but oh well
